Founded by the Director/Writer/Producer team Donnie & Rita McMillin, Robot Underdog is a small team of talented individuals working together to make awesome things. The idea started among friends and came to life towards the end of 2013. With the love of anime, science-fiction, comics and pretty much anything that can be classified as “geek culture”, Robot Underdog produces high quality, live-action anime & superhero content, such as the Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man project, which was praised by Marvel’s Brian Michael Bendis, and the live-action Street Fighter project, in partnership with Capcom.
Robot Underdog partnered with Machinima in January 2015 and were quickly elevated into their “top talent” pool of creators. Now verified on YouTube and Facebook, Robot Underdog is currently working on a live-action adaptation of an animated Dragon Ball Z TV special. The pilot episode of this new series was released in early 2015, shortly after joining forces with Machinima, and currently has over 28 million views. The team has been hard at work since then and are excited to launch the next two episodes to meet fan demand.
When Robot Underdog was started, it was nothing more than a group of friends coming together with the hopes of just… just making something. Something that would be fun. Something that we could all be apart of. Something that we could all be proud of. And if we were lucky, something that would connect with people. We have big dreams, big goals and an exciting future ahead of us!
